Rick and Trace's Morning Hunt...

Rick and Trace got up early this morning to go get a little duck hunting in. Of course Trace was in heaven!

One TIRED boy!

Trace spent the day working in the garage with dad. I didn't even attempt a nap since he was attached at his dad's hip. So this is how I found him while watching football. TIRED BOY!

The End of the Game

Kaitlyn finished her basketball season on Saturday. She is quite the defensive player and I'm sure Coach Walker (aka Auntie Kristin) will be working on her shooting (she decided for some reason during her last game to shoot from behind her head, like a soccer throw in). For being her first time playing she did really well and we were really proud of her.

O CHRISTMAS TREE....

We picked up a tree last night from Bubba's. Big hopes of going and cutting one down were dashed when we realized how busy our weekend is going to be. So we at least got it up with big plans to decorate Friday night.

Here Comes Santa Claus...

Kaitlyn and Trace went to see Santa today. Trace was more than happy to tell Santa what he wanted but he was having nothing to do with sitting on his lap. He did give him a high five but standing next to sis, and not being happy about it, was as good as I was going to get!

It was a pretty uneventful weekend for us. I had to work all weekend. Trace hung out with Sara and Sue and made cookies while I was at work. Kaitlyn had a basketball game and spent the afternoon with Yaya. She had a birthday party in Richland at 6 so my mom dropped her off there and then Kristin picked her up. They went shopping and didn't get home until almost 10. Rick had a fantastic time in Orlando. The kids and I drove to Tri-Cities to pick him up this afternoon. It started snowing around 11 and it snowed hard for a few hours. The roads were pretty bad when we were heading to TC but mostly it was just stupid people on the roads. I think there were 6 cars that had rolled over on the way up. By the time we went and saw Santa and got the airport the roads had gotten a lot better. So it was smooth sailing home. Rick, Scott, Kev and Bob were all on the same flight. Scott, my brother in law, came in just before them and Rick's dad and brother came in around 5. Rick said the show was great and they had a fantastic time. The kids and I survived so... he owes me :-)

We have the house all ready for the tree and decorations. Hopefully Rick will go get all the decorations down from the attic tonight and we'll go get a tree on Wed. I would like to go cut one down but we probably won't have time this weekend. We'll see how things go between now and then!

Basketball Star

Kaitlyn is playing basketball through the Tri-City YMCA. All the kids on her team go to her school and it is a co-ed. YMCA doesn't keep score for kids this age and on Saturday Kaitlyn's team won 24-22... I know, I know! I am just way to competitive. Kaitlyn had 4 points. Most importantly though she LOVES it. Tonight I took her to watch Kristin's middle schoolers play and she didn't even want to leave to use the restroom. Well that was until her friend showed up. WHAT A GIRL!

Fa La La La

Kaitlyn had her first school Christmas concert last night. There was a huge turnout which was just awesome for the school. Kaitlyn had quite the cheering section herself. All the kids did a great job! So I guess the Christmas season is officially kicking off now.

Rick is leaving tomorrow for Florida. There is a big racing show in Orlando and he is heading down with a big group. I'm excited he can get a break from all the craziness of our remodel. The garage is all sheet rocked so once he gets that inspection he will be on to taping and mudding. The garage door is getting installed on the 18th so everything is moving right along. It looks like the kitchen is going to get a little more work done to it than we had orginally thought, ok than I orginally thought :-) When the house was built they boxed in above the cabinets and sheetrocked it and we decided to go ahead and take all that out so we could have that open look above the cabinets. He is also going to add an island/table. I think it will look fantastic when it is all done. Hopefully it will all go as smoothly as the garage has! But yea, a break will be good! Rick's mom is leaving for Maui tomorrow, my parents have been in Orlando for the last week... I'm jealous of everyone going to sunny warm places!!

We hope everyone had a great weekend. We had snow and now it is up in the 60's. It is insane! We don't have flooding like other places do, thankfully! Keep those people in your thoughts and prayers!!
