Rick took the morning off to go to Trace's appointment. He offered to take Kaity to school since that is what he normally does on Friday's but he had to work last Friday. He was putting his shoes on and Kaity said, "Um dad... do you think we could drive something other than your blue car because I really don't want you take me in that."
Hahaha... one of the other mom's and I were talking about that last week. Her girls are starting to get the same way, the 6th grader has even asked her dad to just park on the road (to which he answers with pulling through the carpool lane with the radio blarring and the windows down and yelling I LOVE YOU when she gets out).
(maybe Rick could just throw a little paint on the 'blue' car... which is blue and black and has been for the ummm, the 3 years he has had it. One color goes a long way in the not embarassing department. In all fairness to him...he does get great gas milage. We just have a long road ahead if this has started in 2nd grade)

Okay, is this a girl thing? Because the boys think our 1985 spray painted Suburban is the most awesome thing out there, and when Dan picked Chase up in it on Thursday he was so excited! I'm guessing about middle school it won't be so cool :).
