Day 3 Epcot – The big plan was to wake up early and head to Epcot BUT we slept a little too late. So we headed over to my parents hotel and ate breakfast at their bigger food court. After filling up on pancakes, omelets and bacon we headed out to the fishing hole on the resort’s property. The kids threw their poles in but only got bites. After about 30 minutes they were ready to hit the park so we loaded on the bus.
The thing everyone wanted to do was the GM test track so we headed straight there. Sadly, the ride was closed but they were handing out fast passes so we grabbed 4 of those. Our return time was 5 pm. Kaity needed to take a restroom break so we took her over to the bathroom right next to the test track and as she walked out they announced the track was opening. We ran to the line and were on the ride in 10 minutes. It was one of the most popular in the park so most of the day it had a HUGE wait time, we were sooo lucky.
After we left there we enjoyed Nemo’s area and the Crush the turtle interactive show, which was awesome. We explored a little more through the park and then headed to our big surprise at 3:45 – LUNCH WITH THE MICKEY! We feasted on southern food (which was fantastic!) and got lots of visits from Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. It was very well done and the kids loved every minute of it.
After lunch Rick and the kids headed back to the test track to use their fast passes and ride again. My parents came over with their friends that work for Disney to say hi to us. He offered to take us shopping and like I could say no! I went crazy but with his discount it was well worth some splurges. By the time we were done with all of this the kids were just done. They had been on the whiney side for most of the day so we decided to just head back to the hotel and relax. We went for ice cream and took them down to the water to let them run some laps. Our attempt to have them in bed by 9 was a little off… it was 10. But they crashed.
