Nutcracker!

Last Saturday night Kaity and I went to the Nutcracker with her friend Hannah and her mom Holly. We had such a great time. The girls were just in awe of the dancing and the company did a fantastic performance. When we got there it had just started snowing and when we left the wind was blowing about 200 mph and the snow was falling HARD. It was a little scary driving home but worth the special girls night out. I hope that we can do it again soon!

Kaitlyn is all jazzed up about taking ballet now. I called her dance studio where she takes jazz and they have openings after the holidays so I am going to sign her up. We'll see if she loves it as much when she is actually taking it...I'm also hoping it will be a better experience than it was when she took it at age 3. I had said since the day that girl started fumbling around that as soon as she was potty trained she was taking ballet. So right after her 3rd birthday I got her all registered for a class here in Prosser. The only problem was the room was huge studio and the parents sat in the same room the kids were dancing in. Which meant that the next class would come into the same room. Well to help with the transition they had a big box of toys for the kids to keep themselves occupied. Well my sweet little angel really was not the slightest bit interested in ballet but that box of toys was pretty fabulous. After many pleads to re-join the class and not getting any where, her teacher politely told me she might just not be cut out for ballet. So for months after this Kaity told EVERYONE that she got BUSTED AT BALLET and couldn't go any more.

Keep your fingers crossed that there will be no more busting at ballet needed!

Here are Kaity and Hannah... they could be twins! Last year they paired on up twin day and Holly and I did their hair matching and bought them matching outfits and people really thought they were twins. Too cute!

Hey Kt, good choice on the polka dot dress, someone with very good taste must have helped you pick it out! :-)
